Welcome to my wonderful work of art.

I am doing a html coded website to teach people how to create a webpage using html coding and 'Windows Notepad'.

I have choosen to do this for my theme project because it is the simplist to code.

How to code and set out html for webpages.

Start 'Windows Notepad'.

Type in

< html >
< title> Title of webpage < /title >
< body >
This is where you put all your information that you want people to view.
< /body >
< /html >

This is the templte that you will use to create your webpage.

Now you have to save it as homepage.html or what ever the title of the webpage is.

Create 'New Folder' call it 'Website' save the webpage into that folder.

Now that you have saved it as a webpage you can open it up as 'Internet Explorer' or 'Windows Notepad'.

You use 'Windows Notepad' to edit anything in the webpage. To just view it open it with 'Internet Explorer'.

The skills that you get from doing this you have for pretty much for life. It is a great way to have fun and work hard at the same time.

It only takes a little bit of reading to learn the basics of coding with html. Once you have done that you can start having fun with 'Windows notepad' and html coding.

Once you have finished the website you can upload it tpo the Internet through different severs. But for most of them you will have to pay money to uplaod to the Internet.

When it is on the Internet anyone world wide can access and view your website. Which means that there is a good and bad thing about it. The good thing is that you can show all the people that you know. The bas thing is that people that you do not want viewing it can view it as well.

Html stands for: hypertext markup lanuage which means it is a way of using tags to show formatting in a text file. The early browers required the user to start the URL with http:// to indicate hyptertext transfer protocol but browsers do this automatically now.
